Controlio ("we", "our", or "us") provides a bridge application and smartwatch companion software for Garmin and Wear OS devices to communicate with eWeLink-compatible smart home hardware.

1. Overview & Privacy Commitment

Controlio is designed with privacy as a foundational principle. We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal data. We do not run third-party advertising or profiling trackers.

2. Data Collection and Usage

• Account Authentication: When you connect your eWeLink account via OAuth2, our service receives authentication tokens (access and refresh tokens). These tokens are stored securely and used exclusively to communicate with eWeLink Cloud APIs on your behalf.
• API Keys: A cryptographically generated API key is assigned to your account so your smartwatches (Garmin / Wear OS) can securely request your device list and send control commands.
• Device Data: Device names, online statuses, power states, and brightness levels are retrieved on-demand to display on your smartwatch interface. State information is cached locally on your smartwatch for offline responsiveness.

3. Third-Party Services

Controlio interacts with the eWeLink Cloud API (CoolKit Technologies) to relay control commands to your smart devices. Use of eWeLink services is governed by their respective Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

4. Data Security

All communication between your smartwatches, the Controlio bridge service, and eWeLink Cloud is strictly encrypted in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS). Tokens and credentials are stored securely on the host server.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

You have full control over your credentials. You can revoke and delete your active API key and session at any time directly from the web dashboard by selecting "Delete Key & Sign Out". When selected, your stored API keys are permanently deleted from the server.

6. Children's Privacy

Controlio does not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13.
